A new playground is coming to Sunshine Plaza!
The Sunshine Coast's newest playground will be located on Cornmeal Promenade between Coca Bar and Shoes & Sox entrance. The playground design draws inspiration from Sunshine Coast's marine fauna with a giant pelican tunnel slide, climbing seal, scramble net and play submarine, ensuring a fun-filled experience for all ages.

When will the playground open?

Will any stores be closed during the construction of the playground?
All stores within Sunshine Plaza will remain open for business as usual during the construction of the playground.

Where is the playground located?
The playground is located on Cornmeal Promenade between Coca Bar and Shoes & Sox entrance.

Where is the closest car park to the playground?
Best parking to access the playground is either the Woolworth car park off Plaza Parade or Myer multideck car park.

Is the playground covered?
The playground is located outside and while some sections of the playground are covered, we suggest using appropriate outdoor protection, including sunscreen and hats, when visiting the playground.

What is the closest coffee shop to the playground?
Coca Bar is located next to the playground and Banjo’s Bakery Café is located across the bridge.

Are there any other playgrounds at Sunshine Plaza?
There are two other playgrounds at Sunshine Plaza; an indoor boat playground, opposite Jamba, and an outdoor mini ropes inspired playground, near Banjo’s Bakery and Café.
