Great Food & Refreshing Beverages

At the end of a long day of shopping – buying yourself that dress you've been eyeing off for weeks, getting your sister a birthday present, going to the tech store to get a gadget fixed, returning a Christmas present you’ve had sitting in your car for months – it’s totally acceptable to want to treat yourself to a cold beverage. The Riverwalk is one of the Sunshine Coast’s most relaxing places to put your feet up (and your shopping bags down) and really unwind after a long day. These seven venues are known for their great food, but did you know they also serve tasty and refreshing beverages too? This one’s perfect for date night, or just some quiet time to yourself.

Betty’s Burgers & Concrete Co
Betty’s is a 1950s inspired burger venue great for dates and after school snacks for the kids. But did you know you could put your feet up after a long day shopping and pair a beer or cider with your burger? Or why not be adventurous and try a wine with one of their famous Concrete desserts (frozen custard). Yum!

Cantina De Mad Mex
Baja style Mexican food and Cerveza (beer) – name a better duo, we’ll wait. Add in a beautifully decorated California seaside-themed venue and you’ve got the perfect spot to relax, enjoy a beverage and catch up with your mates. Cantina De Mad Mex offers daily freshly made cócteles (cocktails) including the Fresh Coconut Mojito, the ‘Margo’ House Margarita and the ‘El Santo’ Margarita with Don Julio tequila, fresh lime and orange juice with a chilli and lime salted rim. Oh my!

El Camino Cantina
Is this the Sunshine Coast’s best Margarita? We think so, but we’ll let you be the judge of that. Choose from a classic or frozen Margi in flavours including Classic, Strawberry, Mango, Tropical Red Bull or the flavour of the month. There’s also an impressive list of Australian craft beers and flagship Mexican draughts and cervezas for the beer-lovers. And while the drinks are great, the menu, music and all-round good vibes are just as tantalizing. Pop on a sombrero, order yourself some tacos and a margarita, and unwind as if you were chilling on the streets of Mexico.

Everyone loves a burger, and there’s always something on the Grill’d menu to satisfy everyone (even the vegans). The next time you need to take the whole family out for burgers, Grill’d is perfect for everyone, but especially for you because it means you can enjoy a beverage with your burger. Go on, treat yourself.

Hello Harry
Say hello to Hello Harry! The Maroochydore-born burger joint that’s taking over Australia offers juicy burgers on house-made brioche buns, but that’s just the beginning. They also offer a huge list of sides, a tasty dessert called the Dessert Bomb, and options for the vegos and vegans. But what’s most impressive is the long list of craft beer on tap, because what goes better with a burger than an ice cold ale?

The Bavarian
If you go to The Bavarian and you don’t have a beer, you’re not making the most of the German fare available to you. Sorry, but it had to be said! At The Bavarian you can enjoy the best of Bavaria, alongside some amazing German (and local) brews. Treat yourself to the Loaded Schnitzel – we love The Texan [pictured] – and a stein of one of the 17 beers on tap. The venue can accommodate 400 guests (yes, really!) so grab a group of your beer-loving mates and head down for a drink or two. Prost!

Yum Cha Cuisine
The ancient dining custom of Yum Cha is celebrated in all it’s glory at Yum Cha cuisine. Indulge in a banquet of bite-sized Chinese food including fried dumplings, spring rolls, BBQ pork buns, and plenty more. And the best part? Yum Cha Cuisine is licensed, so after a long day of shopping or work you can add a drink to your order and you’ve made the dinner one to remember.
